Very easy pattern to make because you are making boxes with the background showing in the middle.  To make this pattern bigger, make more of what you see in the pattern given and sew these pieces together.  You could make 4 of this sample and it would be at least 88" x 88" and you could add borders.

Finished size is 44" x 44".
